Wednesday 1 September was a beautiful day to be on the Squamish. While only Willie and myself made the trek up to the river, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Water conditions were iffy: the river had dropped quite a bit from the previous weekend, but water clarity was 6 inches! Yet the pinks were there, swimming close to shore as expected. Between us, we tossed almost every pattern we had brought but we could not entice a Pink to take a fly! We covered the pool at Fisherman’s Park off Judd Road, took in the scenery and called it a day. Despite the lack of fish on the other end of our lines, it was a good day!
