Thompson River Aug-2022

This was our second trip to the Thompson this month. (Wayne and myself). On the first trip the water was quite high due to the high temperatures, this made wading and access a little more difficult. We had to work for our fish, most of which were smaller. We did both get fish in the 16 -17 inch range but strangely they were quite thin?
This trip we met up with Steve S. in Cache Creek. Unfortunately he found the weather too hot and didn’t stick around. I had one of the best mornings I’ve ever had at the Thompson, with 8 fish, 5 of them between 15 – 18 inch’s. Wayne on the other hand didn’t have anything in the morning. The rest of the afternoon we took turns catching fish.
We had dinner in my now favorite restaurant in Cache Creek, the Star House Chinese Restaurant.
The next day did my luck ever change. I was only able to get 1 fish, 12 inches. While Wayne was having a good day with constant fish.
Must have been the Chinese Food!
