Fly Fishing

Fly fishing the Upper Skagit River by Richard Mayer :: The LOONS Flyfishing Club

Roche Lake rainbow trout :: The LOONS Flyfishing ClubPOETRY IN MOTION is one way a club member describes the art of fly casting and placing one’s fly precisely where intended. Fly casting, thus fishing, go hand-in-hand as the means to emulate Mother Nature and the insects that make up the primary diet of our finned quarry.

Becoming proficient at casting and understanding the watery world one fishes is necessary to the enjoyment of the art and sport of fly fishing. The better one gets at mastering the ‘art of the angle’, the results speak volumes in terms of fish hook ups, catching, releasing and the pure enjoyment of being ‘out there’.

This page launches a stream of pages pertaining to all aspects of fly fishing. You are encouraged to check back on a regular basis as we expand our web site.
